Dates & Location (Note: attendance at all meetings is required for course completion.)

August 22 – 24, 2008 AND September 19 – 21, 2008

The course will run from Friday at 8 am to Sunday about 5 pm
Remember there will be two weekends and a patrol meeting scheduled at the convenience of the patrol members in between the weekends.

Cost

$200, which includes

  • All instructional materials and your stay in a beautiful camp
  • All meals
  • plus, many other goodies

    A $50 deposit is due at the time of registration
    Complete payment is due 30 days prior to course beginning. Early payment is appreciated.

    The Veterans of Foreign Wars and the AFL-CIO both offer scholarships to Wood Badge for their members

    Registration

    You can register in these ways.

  • Online, you will find a printable registration form. You will still need to print off the registration form and mail in the form to Council with your deposit.
  • By mailing or bringing the paper registration form to the Council Office.

    Applications with paid deposit will be accepted on a first-come first-served basis until the course reaches capacity.
    Alternates will be placed on a standby list.

    Other Details

    You will need to turn in a Class 3 Medical Form. This requires a complete physical exam within the 12 months prior to the course. Please plan ahead!
    Detailed instructions, required forms, uniform requirements, personal equipment list, arrival and departure times will be sent to each participant after complete payment is made.     Council Wood Badge Refund Policy

    Adults unable to attend Wood Badge due to illness, accidents, or last minute schedule changes may request a refund of the fees paid for the event. All refunds will be subject to the following procedures:

  • Refund requests must be made in writing to Wood Badge; Chicago Area Council; 1218 W. Adams; Chicago, IL 60612.
  • We are no longer able to “roll over” deposits or course fees to the following courses.
  • Refunds made less than 30 days prior to the course beginning will receive a 50% refund.
  • There will be no refunds made after the course begins (day counting begins with Day 1 as the first day of the course).
